María Cash

She disappeared on July 4, 2011, at the age of 29, while en route to Jujuy from Retiro bus station.

"She was a very outgoing person, always cheerful, always smiling, always happy. She had started studying fashion design and made the most beautiful things, truly beautiful. She was intelligent, very intelligent, and very capable. She was my daughter."

Her parents and siblings never gave up. Máximo Cash, María's father, died in a car accident on a highway in La Pampa while searching for her. In his car, they found flyers with his daughter's face.

"We want her back here, whatever it takes, alive or not," her mother says.

 When she was 15 and her younger sister was 9, their mother abandoned them. "We didn't even have enough to eat."

"A friend told me, 'Why don't you come with me? A woman is opening a nightclub in Ushuaia and she's sending us the tickets. You'll make a lot of money,'" she recalls. "We had to be with 20 or 30 men a night... I reduced myself to whatever they needed me to be and became a thing." "Of the money I made each night, 60% went to the pimp. And from what was left, they deducted the plane tickets, the room, the food, the cleaning... even the condoms you used were deducted from your pay."

In the brothel, she met the man who would become her husband. He paid off her debts and took her to live with him in Barcelona. "I thought my life could change, but he took me there to prostitute me and took all my money."

In 2013, she escaped and returned to Tierra del Fuego, where she sued her pimps and achieved a historic ruling that demonstrated state collusion with a trafficking network. Today, she is a feminist activist fighting against sex work and directs a research program on human trafficking at the National University of San Martín.

She disappeared on September 28, 2008, at the age of 3 years and 8 months, in a campsite in Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego. 

Sofia had arrived at the John Goodall campsite accompanied by her parents and a family friend. When she went out with her father and other boys to look for branches to make a fire, from one moment to the next, everyone lost sight of her.

In 2024, on the anniversary of her disappearance, her mother said “It has been 16 years of sadness, frustration, pain and anguish because you will look at the time that has passed and Sofía and I still have no answer, there is nothing. We continue with the commitment to continue searching for it, with hope and that, because we have nothing else.”

Her father said: “I still maintain to this day that my daughter was stolen from me by people in power. There were many failures in the first moments of the investigation." And he sent a message to his daughter, in case she could hear it: “We are your dad, daughter. We are never going to stop looking for you.”

  She disappeared on April 26, 2005, at the age of 14, five blocks from her house, in the capital of La Rioja.

The family, on several occasions, reported in the media that the initial investigation into Peli's whereabouts, carried out by the justice system and the local police, "was not competent and allowed several months to pass without working specifically on the kidnapping hypothesis."

Her grandfather said: “The hope of finding her alive or dead never left my mind. “Live to have the happiness of having her with us or dead to bring her a flower and a prayer.”

“We love her and we continue to wait for her. We want to see her and hug her. We will always love her, despite the passage of time,” says her sister Ana Paula Mercado.

She disappeared on April 3, 2002, at the age of 23, five blocks from her home, in San Miguel de Tucumán. She had a 3 year old daughter.

20 years after her disappearance, his mother, Susana Trimarco, wrote him an emotional letter:
My beloved daughter, it has been 20 years since you have been gone and we still miss you, we love you and we are waiting for you.
I miss every single moment we spent together. Today I move mountains shouting your name
I always wait for you Marita. Every hour of my life, every minute, every second... What I want most right now is to hug you and never let anyone separate us again. If you can read this letter from somewhere, I hope you know that I love you with all my heart. Daughter, mom is not going to rest: I am going to continue looking for you.

She disappeared in January 1991, at the age of 17, in CABA.
She was found dead on March 23, 1992, she was 2 months pregnant.

Susi was dating a man her parents didn't like. Her mother Margartita Meira relates “When I found out that Susi had gone with him I thought he was going to use her to sell drugs and that I was going to find her shot dead in a morgue... I found her dead in a morgue, but there was been prostituted in two well-known clubs from the 90's.
“In the country there are about 30 thousand brothels, 12 thousand in the city according to our investigations, and nobody does anything. and judges, businessmen, celebrities, athletes, politicians of low and high positions parade there to make the banquet. That's why they don't listen to us, that's why they don't comply with the Trafficking Law; That's why when a girl disappears they search everywhere except in brothels.”
Her mother, Margarita, is the founder of Mothers Victims of Trafficking.
